As you well know, I simply love stories of people overcoming adversity, triumphing over injustice, rising above the seemingly insurmountable odds they were faced with and coming through in the end.

Harriet-Tubman-Moses-of-her-people-300x200Well it has been announced today that a woman called Harriet Tubman, a former slave turned abolitionist, and a spy for the Union side during the Civil War in 19th Century America, has been chosen to be the new face of the $20 bill.

For a truly fascinating and inspirational account of her heroics, may I urge you to click on the link below and take a few minutes to read what she accomplished.

And for those of you who like me, also love a good doseĀ of sporting overcomers, please indulge me in a brief but oh so brilliant summary of Liverpool’s European footballing determination as demonstrated last week. Something we haven’t seen since 2005, when they came back from being 3-0 down at half-time to AC Milan, to eventually win the Champions’ League Final in Istanbul. If you want to see how they overcame all the odds againĀ Click Here.

I am at heart, a communicator. I love to use words, whether written or spoken and maximise those words to hopefully, bring some encouragement - literally, to put courage into the hearts & minds of those who read or hear them. In my work as an executive coach, speaker, workshop facilitator, I love also to listen...deeply, and then respond with some encouragement.
